Student Council Reps

Congratulations to Bryen Martinez, Board Vice President, and Luke Hovis and Maddy Pennington, classroom representatives.  These three will represent our class for the 2011-2012 school  year.

Many of you ran to be in StuCo.  Please don't be upset if you weren't elected:  it was a very close race, and I'm proud of your efforts!

Have a great weekend, and GO 'CATS!!!!!

One more change!!!

I don't think we'll have enough time to do all Student Council elections on Thursday of next week.  We will do the elections on Friday, September 9th from 9:30-10:30.  Sorry for the confusion!!!!

Slight change for NWEA Testing...

I forgot we have a different schedule on Fridays than all other afternoons....we have Library from 1:00-2:00.  That means we need to test Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday instead of Wed - Fri.  I hope this doesn't mess up any schedules that you may have.  I apologize for any inconveniences!
Fall NWEA Testing:
Tuesday, September 6th from 1:00-3:00 -- Language
Wednesday, September 7th from 1:00-3:00 -- Reading
Thursday, September 8th  from 1:00-3:00 -- Math

ALSO.....
Our class has voted on a basket for Saturday Live.  They have decided to do an electronics/electronic accessories basket.  Here are some ideas for the basket:
-iPod cases
-iPod screen protectors
-Kindle/Nook/other e-reader screen protectors or cases
-gift cards to Unplugged (electronics store next to Shiloh 14 Theater)
-iTunes gift cards
-jogging band for iPods
-any other electronic or electronic accessory

AND FINALLY....
We will be holding Student Council classroom elections on Thursday, September 8th from 11:30-12:05.  Students who would like to be considered for a classroom representative need to type/write a speech.  Mrs. Trudell will read the speeches ANONYMOUSLY to the class and everyone will vote for one male and one female speech (Miss Michel has asked to have one boy and one girl representative per classroom).  I would like these speeches to be in by Wednesday, September 7th so I can read through them before presenting to the class.
